Stanley Prachniak received his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Memphis in 1999. In 2015, after serving several years in an upper-level management role, he made the decision to pursue a Master’s degree in Business Administration. In 2018, he graduated with an M.B.A. from the University of Memphis. Upon graduation he released his first book Getting a Job: And Exploring Career Possibilities, which was developed to encourage juveniles and young adults to follow their interests when considering jobs and a career path. Stan’s decision to return to school at the age of 41 allowed him to discover possibilities he had never considered before. He finally accepted that he had the power to change his life and become something better than he was. That is what Freedom to Change is all about.

Kimberly Prachniak obtained her B.A. in Psychology from Sewanee and her M.S. in Community Agency Counseling from the University of Memphis.  She worked previously as a drug and alcohol counselor at prisons in Memphis and as a corporate trainer, training other professionals across the U.S. and Canada in the rehabilitation of clients who were incarcerated or on parole.  She currently serves as a Board member of a research review committee charged with aiding researchers in the protection of human subjects, and she is the Associate Director of that department where she has worked for over 10 years at a local university.
